Why we charge a set monthly fee and not by the hour
We made a conscious business decision to charge our clients a set monthly fee for the tasks we carry out for them, rather than an hourly rate and we believe that everyone is better off for it. We have most of our clients working this way now.
There are a number of reasons we did this and they all contribute to a better situation for both ourselves and the businesses we work with.
Firstly, as a small business you’ll know exactly what will be going out each month, allowing for solid financial planning. There’ll be no higher fees in a busy period that could cause financial worry. Similarly for us as a small business we know exactly what’s coming in each month. This takes some worry out of both sides of the relationship and allows both parties to focus on growth and the important tasks at hand.
We still charge an hourly rate when onboarding new clients but once we get a handle on the business requirements and what’s needed from us we agree a monthly fee and make the switch over.
We believe that long term and hourly rate isn’t good for anyone and set monthly fees are the way forward for a strong relationship and good business growth.
